As a court reporting student, you spend time in the classroom and time at home practicing your steno skills.
You may also have a full or part time job. You might be a parent raising young children.
Sometimes meeting all of your responsibilities can seem daunting and overwhelming.
To help tackle the overwhelm, here are some time management tips that will help you keep yourself organized and moving forward, accomplishing more in less time:
1. Take the first 30 minutes of every day to plan your day. Don’t start your day until you’ve completed your plan for how you will spend your time. For instance, are you going to class in the morning, then home to practice writing? Will you be working at your job for a portion of the day? Looking at the responsibilities you need to meet as you begin your day will allow you to make the most of your time.
2. Take five minutes before every task to decide what result you want to attain. This will help you know what success looks like before you start.
