Wow, I have learned a lot in two months. I started Lesson 10 yesterday. If you read the Lessons 1-20 section, then you can read about what I have learned thus far. I won't go into it here. So, the real question is are you still happy with CRAH? In a word, YES. I have had a few moments where the program frustrated me. I think like everything else in life, it is not "perfect" I would love to have access to software. However, Lesson 8 and 9 are laid out better than 7, so the CAT software wouldn't be as necessary. I just feel like there would be a benefit to seeing our words in english next to the steno. I spend a lot of time reading notes that I could be writing. I do understand the importance, I really do. But there are moments where it really does waste time. Another complaint is they give you words in an audio drill, that we haven't learned how to spell yet. Why? They do not want you looking to other resources, or looking ahead, so why give us things that we haven't learned. Overall, I am happy with CRAH. Two complaints is nothing in two months. The support department is great, they are quick to respond and give clear, precise answers. I now email them every lesson, just to ask one or two questions before moving on. Also, I am now reviewing a prior lesson everyday. I do not want to forget anything, so it will help me retain ALL of what I learned so far. No regrets with choosing this program, still love my machine, and most importantly, no regrets on choosing this career path. I know I am only (almost) halfway through Theory, and rough roads lie ahead. I know I can do this, I just have to practice daily even when it is 80 degrees and I would rather be sunbathing. (I really need a tan too) I have made a commitment to myself and I will make good on it. For those who are in the program and have those down days. You can do it too. Find what motivated you to start and don't forget it. Small steps everyday. Thank you to the 3400 people who have viewed this blog. I am astonished that so many people have landed here. Thank you for motivating me to keep going.
