Amy, Johnny. I was using the long E as the ending E sound. Wrong.
It would be JON/NI, AEU/MI
The word "last" was in the audio drill. I spelled it LAS, but it is LA*S. Like the names above, the name Steven STAO*EF/-N. I was using a beginning N, but that is the arbitrary for IN. This is why I love the Support Department.
Back to eight. We learn to write the days of the weeks and months.
Very simple, I got that down in about 20 minutes. We are given new arbitraries. Such as, Maybe, Understand, All right, Tomorrow.
We are introduced to compound words. Sun rise or sunrise, waterflow or water flow. You can use J-N in between words to join them, hence the J-N. You can use SP-S to add a space between them.
We are given more multi-syllable words to practice.
Atmosphere, Sensitive, Dignity.
This lesson will hopefully be a quick one. Fingers crossed.
I am done with Lesson 8!!! Easiest lesson so far. I have 2 emails into support about various things. I will post my questions/response when I hear back from them. It is Saturday or SARD in steno. So they may take a bit longer than a week day. Moving on to Nine!!!
My questions to support.
1) I asked if we capitalize Mr./Dr. etc. No, the CAT software will do this for us. It will also capitalize the following word, such as Dr.Black. However, you would have to add the KP in the name Dr. Ed Black. It will cap the Ed but not the Black in this instance.
2) I asked about whether or not to add a comma after an AND in series. Such as Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Yes, we add a comma. On the audio drill they added it once out of two series, so I was confused. They never admitted an error in the book, but I found one.:)
